Developers, WOW Entertainment wanted to encourage use of the product. The strategy? Take a humorous approach to a humorous product. A pure publicity campaign, Public City scrapped the traditional press release format, for one that would make a joke out of what was really hilarious! The media responded well to the transparency and light hearted approach, with similar coverage being reflected in newspapers, radio and online. This included a day-long joke on Sydney’s 2DayFM. The result? We’ll let the client tell you: “Public City’s zany ideas were executed with enormous professionalism.
